Hand Knitting

Kilmora Gram Udyog is a grassroots enterprise working with the women of Kumaon to harness their traditional craft of knitting to create sustained sources of income. Kilmora has also worked to introduce the younger generation to weaving, using entirely natural fibers to make handwoven textiles that have a wider appeal. KGU currently works with 25 weavers, for whom weaving has become the primary source of income.
